For the first race at South African
Kyalami went back to the normal
March outfit only using the Colani
cockpit cover with itīs special air
intake.

 

The second appearance of the car (Race of Champions at
Brands Hatch) showed a combination of Eifelland nose,
Colani cockpit and March back.

 

The final version of the Eifelland March Ford, that appeared for 1972 Spanish
Grand Prix held ar Jarama. It had got a new March nose scone, Colani cockpit and
a March rear wing. The radiator covers were inspirated by the Surtees Ford TS9B
and made by Eifelland.

 

Rolf Stommelen in the cockpit of the Eifelland March Ford in itīs typical livery. Eifelland
competed between Kyalami and Zeltweg 1972 in 8 Grand Prix with two 10th places as
their best results.

 

Rolf Stommelen from Cologne was a Grand Prix driver from 1970 to 1978 and drove for Brabham,
Surtees, Eifelland, RAM, Embassy Hill, Arrows and a private Hesketh Ford. He competed in 53 Grand
Prix with a third place (in Zeltweg 1970) as his best result, scoring 14 points overall. Stommelen
was killed in April 1983 at a sports car race at Riverside/USA.
